Philosophy and Mission:
What can I say: I love food. Eating is such an important part of our lives, rooted in cultural tradition, shaped by health, inspired by the smells and flavors of all our favorite dishes. But it can sometimes seem overwhelming; food politics, economics, and an ever-changing array of "fad diets" can make the world taste bland.
My overall purpose is to teach you what I know and allow you, the consumer, to make informed, healthy decisions. Eating doesn't have to be difficult or unpleasant. I want to call attention to, and teach others about, the important issues surrounding food & nutrition. I want to give counsel on how to eat healthily and share recipes that make good food exciting. My background has provided me with a deep understanding and appreciation of these matters, and with strong feelings in regards to our nation’s food and nutritional health. Let me teach you about nutrition & how preparing food can be about more than just getting full.
