Quit Smoking with Flaxseed Oil

This single-blind study compared a placebo to 10mL of flaxseed oil a day for 6 months in tobacco users.

 

The results are exciting for those who want to quit smoking. Taking flaxseed oil significantly reduced frequency of smoking, dependence and cravings as well as improving withdrawal symptoms, pointing to “the potent role of omega-3” EFA’s in quitting smoking.
